Mountain Standard (est. 2012) is based on the same drive for excellence, but presented in a more casual, communal atmosphere. The food is focused on carefully sourced ingredients and wood fired cooking methods. Sweet Basil, Inc.’s success is predicated on having the most talented, hospitable and passionate team possible. This newly created role of HR Manager is responsible for attracting and supporting this team of employees. This management position administers and oversees human resource programs including, but not limited to, recruiting, on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits, culture, employee relations and employee morale. The role partners closely with the Chef and FOH management teams at each restaurant to hire, develop and retain talented team members

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality. HR experience with a demonstrated track record of success preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credential preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruiting, benefits, compensation practices, culture, employee relations, and knowledge of federal and state respective employment-related laws
  • Ability to think strategically, while driving and owning initiatives.
  • Spanish speaking a major plus
  • Results driven, strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate a variety of information and material to candidates and employees.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to navigate competing priorities.
  • Customer-service focused and able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and managers in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Previous Management experience required, PHD in Social Chemistry preferred!
