This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality radiation therapy services in a collaborative clinical environment.

As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will deliver comprehensive radiation oncology care to patients, including consultation, treatment planning, and ongoing management of oncological conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes in a fast-paced medical practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive radiation oncology consultations and evaluations for patients
• Develop and implement individualized radiation treatment plans
• Oversee and manage radiation therapy sessions and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiologists
• Review diagnostic imaging and pathology reports to determine appropriate treatment approaches
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, risks, and side effects
• Monitor and manage treatment-related toxicities and complications
• Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical case discussions
• Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards in radiation therapy
• Maintain compliance with medical practice protocols and licensing requirements
• Provide coverage as needed to ensure continuity of patient care

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology
• Associate-level experience in radiation oncology practice
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Arizona
• Valid DEA license
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and equipment
• Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging and pathology results
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
• Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, specific dates

Setting: Onsite at clinic

Support staff available

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
