Now Hiring Maritime Security Guards

American Guard Services is actively seeking reliable, professional Security Officers for assignments at the Ports of San Pedro . This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity for individuals looking to join a growing team and build a long-term career in maritime security.

Schedules are based on cruise ship operations and may fluctuate from 2 days per week (16 hours) to 5 days per week (40 hours) . Applicants should be flexible with scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and secure port facilities and designated areas
• Control access points and monitor entry/exit activity
• Detect, deter, observe, and report suspicious or unusual activity
• Document incidents and report security concerns
• Enforce site policies and procedures
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and the public

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card
• TWIC Card (assistance available for obtaining one)
• Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
